原訂半日的拜會活動,因訪賓意猶未盡想對本校科學教育有所瞭解,遂餐後續往理學院參訪動手作中心及Maker Space 創新自造推展基地,最後於屏師大門合影結束精彩的行程。SON Jang-ho教授期待此趟豐富行程能帶給他們的國小教師回響並帶回所屬學校討論未來合作機會並增添本校所執行的史懷哲計畫合作對象。
Daegu National University of Education (DNUE), which has a long term and deep friendship with NPTU since the era of National Pingtung University of Education, visited NPTU on January 31, 2023 to discuss future cooperation. The team was led by Professor SON Jang-ho of the Graduate School of Education and his 20 graduate school students who are also elementary school teachers in Korea.
Firstly, DNUE visited Timur Elementary School in Sandimen Township. The school is currently one of the most distinctive indigenous elementary schools in Pingtung County. Thanks to Principal Ms. Chen for leading school teachers to receive DNUE delegates. Through a series of programs with introduction of cultural curriculum and hand-made Paiwan pottery pots, the delegates can have an understanding of the original culture of Paiwan tribe. The delegates are delightful accompanied by NPTU President Prof. Robert Chen, Dean of International Affairs Prof. Kelvin Chen and Associate Dean of College of Education Prof. Jen-Ning Liou.
After a brief stay at Timur Elementary School, the delegates soon bounded for NPTU and received by President in VIP room. Afterwards, they went to the Department of Early Childhood Education to listen to a briefing and were received by Vice President Prof. Sheau-Wen Lin, Dean of Research and Development Prof. Hua-Shu Hsu and Director of Center of Teacher Education Prof. Ya-Ling Chen. During the lunch time, Dean of College of Education Prof. Cheng-His Chien and Chairman of Dept. of Education Prof. Wei-Min Hsu also joined in the welcome banquet for further idea exchange.
After the meal, the delegates visited College of Science in Pingshi campus. They learned more about the hands-on center and the Maker Space innovation and self-made promotion base for more information regarding scientific education. Prof. SON Jang-ho expects that their graduate school students will bring feedback to their elementary school to explore cooperative possibility with NPTU faculties and the project of Ministry of Education.
